New Villa Models Coming Soon
Edgewater Villas model builders, Prestige Homes, Dahmer Construction and Enterprise Homes are scrambling to finish their new models for the Spring Homes Tour beginning May 4th and running through May 18th. The hard winter has slowed construction, but 2 of 3 models should be finished for the Parade. Community Managers, Craig Hauser and Bob McMaster, are looking forward to moving into the new models late spring. “Edgewater offers some of the most scenic homesites in Creekmoor and an outstanding selection of walkout lots,” states Bob McMaster. Several homesites front on the picturesque 9th Fairway.
In addition to all of Creekmoor’s amenities, the Villas include snow removal and yard maintenance by the Creekmoor Homeowner’s Association.

Todd Bohn, Superintendent, Creekmoor Golf Club. |
Golf Club Joins Audubon Program
The golf club at Creekmoor has received certification in Environmental Planning from the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses (ACSP), an international program administered by Audubon International designed to help landowners preserve and enhance the environmental quality of their property. The plan was developed by Todd Bohn, Superintendent, who is also recognized for his effort to plan for environmental stewardship.
The Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses provides an advisory service to help existing golf courses develop effective conservation and wildlife enhancement programs. This worldwide effort is coordinated by Audubon International and is sponsored in part by the United State Golf Association.
“The open space of a golf course is utilized not only by golfers, but is habitat for a variety of wildlife species,” explained Jim Sluiter, Staff Ecologist for Audubon International. “We welcome The Golf Club at Creekmoor’s commitment to the environment and to managing the golf course with wildlife in mind.”

Jolene Schmitz, Project Manager for Cooper Land Development, consults with a Creekmoor coyote. |
Coyotes on Guard
Creekmoor, just like many other local golf courses has a geese problem. Everyone enjoys the awesome sight of the flocks as they glide into Creekmoor…but then the mess begins. Todd Bohn, golf course superintendent at Creekmoor, has borrowed an innovative solution from a local fellow golf course superintendent. Lifelike wooden cutouts of coyotes are placed around greens to simulate a lurking danger for hovering or approaching geese. “Surprisingly they work great. At a distance many golfers and visitors have even thought they are real,” advised Bohn.
The “coyotes” are moved regularly to add to their authenticity. Other courses have found that the geese eventually become accustomed to the “coyotes” if they don’t move around a little. The geese seem to be fooled into thinking they are real by their continuing change of location. Sixteen coyotes now patrol the greens at the Creekmoor course.
“…and the best thing about these “coyotes” is we don’t have to feed them, water them or take them to the vet,” added Bohn.
